Ph.D. Candidate

Joseph is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering researching the deformation behavior of magnesium under dynamic loading. His research interests include material response to high strain rate loading, experimental mechanics, shock compression, and detonation phenomena. Prior to joining UAH Joseph worked at The Boeing Company for five years in Huntsville, AL and St. Charles, MO. He holds a master’s degree from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.
